That's weird because I'd been always been able to view both Chinese Simplified as well as Traditional texts with Firefox, whether it's Fedora 3 or 4. Try installing all the Chinese fonts that come with the distribution. Also, have you tried viewing the page with Unicode UTF-8 encoding?
