Please see my responses below (FYI, these were the first things I checked). Also I do not that Google'ing this seems to encounter a lot of people who recently have come across this issue...

Nope.  The 2.6.5-1.358 is the only kernel rpm installed.

What's the output of:
$ rpm -qa 'kernel*'

[root@prarit root]# rpm -qa kernel
kernel-2.6.5-1.358

Also, what version of yum do you have@
$ rpm -q yum

The version from FC3?

[root@prarit root]# rpm -q yum
yum-2.1.11-3
