I've been trying to upgrade an FC2 box to FC3. I've installed the appropriate RPMs to do so, however, I keep getting the following error during the transaction check:
--> Processing Dependency: librpmio-4.3.so for package: net-snmp
--> Processing Conflict: udev conflicts kernel< 0:2.6
Traceback (most recent call last):

uplist = self.up.getUpdatesList(name=confname)
UnboundLocalError: local variable 'confname' referenced before assignment
A quick Google on this error indicated that I should remove all 2.4 kernels from my system -- I did so using "rpm -e" ...
Anyone have any ideas?
The message "udev conflicts kernel< 0:2.6" suggests that you do still have a kernel that isn't 2.6 installed.
What's the output of: $ rpm -qa 'kernel*'
Also, what version of yum do you have@ $ rpm -q yum
Paul.
