This is an odd problem. Using FC3 2.6.10-1.760_FC3 with Cisco VPN Client 4.0.4 on a Toshiba Tecra M2 Laptop which has the 2200BG wireless chip set. It also has a Intel 82540EP Gigabit Ethernet Controller for wired connections. I can establish a VPN connection just fine using the wireless connection, everything works as expected. However, when I use a wired connection the VPN appears to be established just fine. But when I try to access anything the name resolution fails. I have checked and compared the /etc/resolv.conf files as well as the netstat -rn outputs for both wired and wireless connections. Everything appears to be the same. Running ethereal I can see the DNS queries go out and what appears to be encrypted replies coming back (I suspect I see the outgoing queries un-encrypted because ethereal gets the packet prior to the VPN). Google results have not returned anything that looks the same as this problem. If this was a problem with the VPN client I would expect it not to work with either connection not just with wireless.
