Okay, this appears to have worked for me (FC3, Gnome), now : - Go to Applications | System Settings | Security Level - disable firewall and SElinux (since there's a router firewall) I have not checked if only one needs to be shut off - reboot - using gFTP, go to File | Options | FTP - turn off Passive mode - try hitting the ftp site. I got the directory listing, which I was not getting before.

Not that this is related, but I also can't see the other (Windows) PC
on my LAN, nor can I seem to pick up the E, F, G "drives" that are on a
Win98 harddrive physically in the system. Picks up the D "drive" on that 60GB harddisk, though.

I connect to an XP ftp server the connection is made but can't go on further to do anything, below are what happened;

In my machine I have multiboot system, XP, fc1, fc3, except fc3 other 2 O/S can connect to that ftp server and download file from it.
Any advice is appreciated.
