Yes, I has had time to test it.

With the CVS sources (30/1/2005) i tried it and I have that problem.

I use some network profiles (depending in what iface i use), because I use the same IP in all ifaces, but only use one at the time (only for tests purposes).

I explain it a bit, I have an eth0 (8139too), an eth1 (orinoco_cs), an eth1 (prism), ath0 (ath_pci). In all ifaces I have aliases for another subnets. All ifaces (and aliases) uses the same IP (in their owner networks).

Well, when I have the eth0 iface ON and I insert my atheros ABG, it brings up correctly:

PCI: Enabling device 0000:02:00.0 (0000 -> 0002)
ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:02:00.0[A] -> GSI 10 (level, low) -> IRQ 10
divert: allocating divert_blk for ath0
ath0: 11a rates: 6Mbps 9Mbps 12Mbps 18Mbps 24Mbps 36Mbps 48Mbps 54Mbps
ath0: 11b rates: 1Mbps 2Mbps 5.5Mbps 11Mbps
ath0: 11g rates: 1Mbps 2Mbps 5.5Mbps 11Mbps 6Mbps 9Mbps 12Mbps 18Mbps 24Mbps 36Mbps 48Mbps 54Mbps
ath0: mac 5.9 phy 4.3 radio 3.6
ath0: 802.11 address: 00:0b:6b:20:1c:0e
ath0: Use hw queue 0 for WME_AC_BE traffic
ath0: Use hw queue 1 for WME_AC_BK traffic
ath0: Use hw queue 2 for WME_AC_VI traffic
ath0: Use hw queue 3 for WME_AC_VO traffic
ath0: Atheros 5212: mem=0x1f000000, irq=10

And then I have to bring up my ath0 iface (normal operation).
But when I eject my atheros card and bring down eth0 and insert the Atheros PCCARD, dmesg say me:

PCI: 0000:02:00.0: class 2 doesn't match header type 02. Ignoring class.
PCI: not setting up bridge 0000:02:00.0 for bus 3
ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:02:00.0[A] -> GSI 10 (level, low) -> IRQ 10
PCI: Setting latency timer of device 0000:02:00.0 to 64

And YES, when I have ath0 and eth0 ON, lspci -v say me they have the same IRQ=10.

What can I do to solve the issue?

The card is activated when the system want, sometimes works, sometimes not works (as I exposed in the initial message).

I wonder if this is the same problem I am experiencing. In my case
madwifi only seems to work if I simultaneously use the ethernet
adapter. My theory is that the madwifi interrupts are not being
dispatched for some reason.

Do you have another device on the same IRQ as madwifi? If so, could
you unplug it so no interrupts are generated. See if madwifi then
stops working completely.
