Some help about the problem?
What can be the problem?
Is the pccard, the laptop, the pci, the acpi?

Some help please, I can't find anything about it!!

The card is activated when the system want, sometimes works, sometimes not works (as I exposed in the initial message).

I tryed with acpi=noirq in kernel parameters.

I tryed with noacpi in kernel parameters.

I tryed with pci=noacpi in kernel parameters.

I tried using (in modprobe.conf):
alias ath0 ath_pci
install ath_pci /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install ath_pci countrycode=724
remove ath_pci /sbin/rmmod wlan_wep ; /sbin/rmmod ath_hal ; /sbin/rmmod ath_rate_onoe ; /sbin/modprobe -r --ignore-remove ath_pci ; /sbin/rmmod wlan

tried (in modprobe.conf):
alias ath0 ath_pci
options ath_pci countrycode=724

tried (in modprobe.conf) deleting all ath_pci lines.

Please, I need know what can be the posibilities to continuing searching in the web about it and doing some tests.

The madwifi package used is the downloaded from atrpms (two days ago).

Thanks!!

Hi guys, I'm having a curious problem with my madwifi.
I've readed the FAQs, and looked for the problem in the list archive.

The problem is my PCCARD Atheros A+B+G doesn't want to work again.

1) Sometimes the scanpci & the lspci don't found it (not appears the "Unknown device")
2) Sometimes the scanpci don't display the card but the lspci found an "Unknown device".
3) And sometimes them show my card, but ifup says error in input/output.

In all cases, to eject the card and can see the output, I perform the next actions sequence:
a) cardctl eject
b) manually extract the card
c) rmmod wlan_wep; rmmod ath_pci; rmmod ath_rate_onoe; rmmod ath_hal; rmmod wlan;

I usually use the system-network-config to config my ifaces and I have some profiles, to assigns the same IP's to my ethernet, or my prism, or my atheros.

If this help, I found this in my message from my boot process:
