Setting up IR Synching for Jpilot

Hi

Given the horror for Palm users that is USB on Fedora Core 3, I would like
to set up synching between my palm (Tungsten T) and my Toshiba Tecra laptop
(running Fedora Core 3).

Is there anyone here who can give me some pointers?

At boot time, I get

Jan 11 09:38:42 bree kernel: IrCOMM protocol (Dag Brattli)
Jan 11 09:38:44 bree kernel: CSLIP: code copyright 1989 Regents of the
University of California
Jan 11 09:38:44 bree kernel: PPP generic driver version 2.4.2
Jan 11 09:38:44 bree irattach: tcgetattr: Input/output error
Jan 11 09:38:44 bree irattach: Stopping device /dev/ttyS2
Jan 11 09:38:44 bree irattach: ioctl(SIOCGIFFLAGS): No such device
Jan 11 09:38:44 bree irattach: exiting ...
Jan 11 09:38:44 bree irda: irattach startup succeeded

but there appears to be a problem!
