I'm working to create a comps.xml file that reflects my package removals
for a new, much more truly "minimal" install, and I intend to submit
this comps.xml file as soon as possible for consideration so that we can
change the minimal install for FC4 before the first test release.

Since you're one of the more experienced users here, would you care to
help me with this little task? I don't really understand this bloody
file yet, though I'm trying.

Note that I am only working to improve the minimal install at this
point. We do what we can, when we can; and I'll try to help more in
other areas later. You can find my package-removal guidelines in my
"Bare-Bones Server HOWTO", in the "Trimming the Fat" section:

http://www.simpaticus.com/linux/barebones-server-howto.php

It would be fantastic if we could work together on the comps.xml file.
If you don't have the time right now or the project is not as
interesting to you, then please do read through this HOWTO and offer any
critique you feel is appropriate.

Cheers,
