Everyone, Or at least everyone having issues with CD burning... I've been tracking a problem with my CD burner. It seems to be due to the fact that the CD burner is attached to the same IDE as my primary HDD. Apparently according to David Zeuthen from the hal development team, hal does not poll the IDE channel assigned to the HDD for media change. So the drive's media state never changes according to any software getting it's info from hal. So for those people having trouble with a burner slaved to a HDD, if you can ( I cannot due to the laptop ), simply re-arrange your IDE devices to have your burner on a separate IDE channel from your HDD's and you should be able to work again. I've filed this new info with the nautilus-cd-burner folks to see if they can work around this somehow. http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=161380 Here is some additional stuff to read why hal doesn't poll the same IDE as your HDD. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=138148 Hope this helps.
