FC2, FC3, or? Which kernel are you using? Who are you when trying to burn the CD? regular user or root? Since the 2.6.8 kernel a regular user has not been able to burn a CD. Some people have said the 2.6.9 kernel allows regular users to burn CDs again, but that has not been the case for me.
