I just installed Fedora Core 3. I'm using xfce and a serial mouse. I seem to
recall a message during bootup saying the serial mouse was recognized (where
do I check that?), yet for some reason, the mouse is not working in X.

What device name would the mouse be given? How can I figure out what's going
wrong?

How about running 'system-config-mouse' - and see if it fixes it (and also 'system-config-display' - to make sure other things in xorg.conf are correct)

Yes, that fixed it, thanks! For some reason, it had thought the mouse was on COM4, but was actually on COM1.
