I got them installed and out of curiosity, I tried to enter via mysql. Well, I'm still getting : > ERROR 2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (111) So, I've got the 3.23 rpms installed and I'm no closer. I'm combing the mysql forums again to see if I can find something to help myself. There is something wrong with my system that makes it an unfriendly host for mysql. Any Ideas? --andy
