Might want to consider WBEL which runs VMware Workstation fine and is still supported (or probably also Tao, CentOs, or Scientific Linux, although can't vouch for those personally). OTOH, have also gotten VMware to work (mind you, not without the occasional wart) on RH7.x, RH8.0, RH9, and FC[123] test and final release versions - usually with the aid of the latest vmware-any-any patch, as recommended in the FC3 release notes. Has been very solid with FC2 after a few kernel-2.6.x start-up transients. Problems with FC3 are mainly udev related, but are manageable. Phil
