Hi

I think I have done all I have found in the archive and documentation to
get my palm running with FC3 (pilot-xfer and evolution).

1) I created the 10-local.rules which contains:

*rsy@puffin*[23:13][/home/rsy][43]> cat /etc/udev/rules.d/10-local.rules
# For my Palm T2
KERNEL="ttyUSB1",MODE="666",SYMLINK="pilot"

If I press the hotsync-button of my palm I get the following messages
in /var/log/messages:

Nov 15 23:22:17 puffin kernel: usb 1-1: new full speed USB device using
address 9
Nov 15 23:22:17 puffin kernel: visor 1-1:1.0: Handspring Visor / Palm OS
converter detected
Nov 15 23:22:17 puffin kernel: usb 1-1: Handspring Visor / Palm OS
converter now attached to ttyUSB0
Nov 15 23:22:17 puffin kernel: usb 1-1: Handspring Visor / Palm OS
converter now attached to ttyUSB1
Nov 15 23:22:19 puffin kernel: usb 1-1: control timeout on ep0in
attached 9

There is now way to establish an connection to transfer data from an to
the palm. Also there is not message that the username is
transfered/verified on the palm. The palm still hangs for approx. 2
minutes and then displays a message the connection timed out.

If I start pilot-xfer (after pressing the hotsync button on the palm) I
get the following:

*rsy@puffin*[23:10][/home/rsy][42]> pilot-xfer -b privat/Palm/backup/
No $PILOTPORT specified and no -p <port> given.
   Defaulting to '/dev/pilot'

   Listening to port: /dev/pilot

Please press the HotSync button now...

And that's it until I press Ctrl-C ....

I am using a Dell Latitude C800 with USB 1 - does this is the Problem ?
With FC2 I had no problem with my palm and pilot-xfer.

Thanks for any information to make it runnable

Reinhard
