Has this been solved yet? All my FC3 systems have this problem.
However, I think it might be more of a client-side issue rather than a
server-side issue. I'm using Konsole and it works fine if I create a
new "Session/New Linux Console", then SSH into another FC3 box.

After upgrading from FC1 to FC3 I've noticed vi no longer backspaces

I haven't, and I'm typing this in vi.
You're gonig to have to give more details. Are you opning vi in a
terminal window
Yes
(which terminal emulator are you using?),
The stock GNOME Terminal 2.7.3
or are you
using the "gvim" separate window?
No
What is $TERM set to?
xterm
If you're using the standard gnome-terminal, and on the Edit menu choose
Current Profile, what do you see in the Compatibility tab?
Backspace key generates [ ASCII DEL ]
Delete key generates [ Escape sequence ]
Incidentally, these settings exactly match those of my RHEL3 system,
which works fine. Their /etc/vimrc files are quite different, but vimrc
and bashrc seem to be in constant flux from one release to the next.
