I don't recall updating the xpdf package, though. Whether oo.o-i18n gets updated probably depends on how you invoke yum (or whatever) to do the updates. The old version of Oo.o listed the i18n package as a requirement. Here's an FC1 machine: [mjs@gypsy mjs]$ rpm -q --whatrequires openoffice.org-i18n openoffice.org-1.1.0-16 Here's an FC2 machine with the latest update installed: [mjs@yankee mjs]$ rpm -q --whatrequires openoffice.org-i18n no package requires openoffice.org-i18n So if you apply all outstanding updates (e.g., using up2date), because i18n package is installed, it gets updated. If you only ask to update the openoffice.org package, the i18n package will be left out of the update, because the dependency no longer pulls it in. Because the old i18n package is installed, you see errors. The three options you have are: (1) Remove all three old Oo.o packages and install the updates. (2) Update all three packages, then remove the i18n package if you don't need it. (3) Update all three packages and leave the i18n package in place if you don't care to remove it. > > Temlakos > > On Thu, 2004-10-21 at 22:31, Clint Harshaw wrote: > > William Hooper wrote: > > > Since openoffice.org doesn't require openoffice.org-i18n anymore, it isn't > > > being updated.
