Since openoffice.org doesn't require openoffice.org-i18n anymore, it isn't being updated. Try:
# yum update openoffice.org openoffice.org-i18n
from my #tail -f /var/log/yum.log:

Now this is the first time I've ever even looked at my yum.log, but doesn't that mean that openoffice.org actually did the update on the -i18n package?
