Why are udf and vfat loading at boot?  Are you using a CD_RW disk
regularly? or is this related to the use of vmware?

Are you running linux under vmware? or using vmware to run other virtual
machines.

I would suggest that you minimize the factors we are dealing with here.

This tells me the disk you are using is NOT a blank CDR disk.  You
cannot use CDR and CD-RW disks interchangeably.
