Ah, yes.

   [mjs@vincent52 mthsc.119]$ rpm -q --whatprovides libstdc++.so.6
   libstdc++34-3.4.0-1

   [mjs@vincent52 mthsc.119]$ whichcd libstdc++34
   You appear to be running Fedora Core 2.
   I'll search for rpms for that version.
   Searching for libstdc++34...

   CD-3:libstdc++34-3.4.0-1.i386.rpm
   CD-3:libstdc++34-devel-3.4.0-1.i386.rpm

This is a development machine, so it has most of the bleeding-edge
libraries installed.  There's a long list of dependencies, but
desktop-file-utils is the only one that isn't supplied with FC2 AFAICT.

You could probably also just rebuild from the SRPM.
