yum install kernel#2.6.7-1.494.2.2

I am not certain about the #. If it complaints just use a hyphen. I
myself only use up2date.

You can too install the kernel by using rpm directly.

rpm -ivh --oldpackage
http://wftp.tu-chemnitz.de/pub/linux/fedora/fedora/2/i386/RPMS.updates/kernel-2.6.7-1.494.2.2.i686.rpm
(the URI is just an example)
