Comment out the setsysfont line.  =)  Took me FOREVER to find it on my own.

I've tried this as well as the earlier suggestions and still the font switches back to the default 80x25 (or whatever). Fedora startup options seem pretty labyrinthine (to someone with little unix/Linux experience).
