Thanks, the server is a used proliant. I've used them several time. This one had 2 nics in it and I assumed it would not be a problem since the cards were already installed. I've never had 2 nics at once. I assumed the intallation would handle it, didn't give it much thought... my error. I'll give the ifdown/ifup a shot tonight. Where is the config file that I can comment out the "activate on boot" for eth1?
