I.e. all devices have parity enabled or all have it disabled, including the HA. Parity enable on this drive is jumpers 7 and 8, next to the three address bit jumpers. Parity enable in the 2940 is via the BIOS firmware. Also, you have firmware rev 1.17. You might want to upgrade it. I seem to recall problems with 1.17.
