Thanks for your reply. Sorry I do not have a lot of experience in unix and am not clear on your suggestions. I was planning on removing the only partition I currently have which has xp and making 1 partition on the hard disk i.e. one for xp and leave the rest as unpartitioned space for fedora. Then install xp first and then try and install fedora on the unpartitioned space. What does this mean? Upgrade installation did not work well with XKB (??) or X screen configuration. I guess you think I plan to upgrade from redhat 9 to fedora. Thats not the case. I plna to do a fresh install of fedora and not upgrade it from redhat 9. I formated the LiNUX partitions, BUT DO NOT FORMAT the boot partition. Could you clarify what does the above means. I am sorry I do not understand? Is there any document available which explains how to configure a dual boot system. Thanks again for your response. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
