samba large files

Hello

I've got fedora core 1
2.4.22-1.2197.nptl

samba-client-3.0.4-1.FC1
samba-common-3.0.4-1.FC1

I try to transfer large files above 2GB to a windows XP Share
but the transfer is aborted and the partial file is uploaded to the share.
small files are ok.

How do I configure samba/os to allow large file transfers?

Also when I upload a file to the share from mc it says:

Cannot chown target file <filename>.
Operation not permitted.

Is it an mc thing or samba thing? I get this message every file upload and with this it's impossible to do automatic
upload of many files. One should sit and press skip on every file.

Thank you
