I am always open to suggestions, and yours has been noted. If other folks find this listing an annoyance and think that it's useful no longer, then of course, I will stop posting it. Speak up, folks!
as i suggested, you can set up a web page. that's what others have done. i already acknowledged that the information was potentially useful, but if it's simply posted on a regular basis and not in response to specific queries, sorry, it's still spam, just like the gmail stuff.
if people think a regular posting of helpful hints is a good idea, then it can be as simple as something like:
"For help with common Fedora issues, check out www.fedorafaq.org." or something like that. max k-a has the right idea -- he just makes the stuff easily available, and lets people take advantage of it if they want to.
letting people know where they can find useful info is a good thing. forcing it on them on a regular basis isn't. it sets a bad precedent since it may encourage others to do the same thing, and then we might have numerous people, all thinking they have something useful that everyone else should read, posting to the list.
just my $0.03 (canadian).

p.s. i'm not *trying* to be contrary and curmudgeonly. i am merely succeeding.
