I'm really not convinced that modules are compatible across the 4K / 8K configuration options, and I'm not convinced that the linuxant kernels haven't been configured with something like the 4G/4G split off or different function calling conventions, which would screw up binary compatibility. Norman, my advice would be to get Linux 2.6.7 from kernel.org, and compile it yourself. Good luck!
