Hello,

I have 2 core 2 servers:

Server 1 is a complete new install
Server 2 is an update from core 1

Server 1 syslog shows all dhclient renewels:

May 24 16:07:50 pegasus dhclient: DHCPREQUEST on eth0 to 195.64.90.1 port 67 May 24 16:07:50 pegasus dhclient: DHCPACK from 195.64.90.1 May 24 16:07:50 pegasus dhclient: bound to 195.64.90.75 -- renewal in 3207 seconds.

Server 2 does *not* show them.

/etc/syslog.conf files are identical and both use the same dhcp server.
/var/lib/dhcp/dhclient-eth0.leases both show the renewels are fine.
Both PCs get an IP just fine.

Question: why is there no syslog entry in /var/log/messages for server 2 ?????
