In any case, my options are few
- accept the fact that I must delete these things from my 'Attachment' folder daily (if I opt for deletion of attachments when I delete the accompanying messages I will inadvertantly delete attachments which I wish to keep)
I have chosen to have attachments deleted when I delete messages, and simply learned to save attachments when deleting messages. Of course, I only delete messages in mailing list folders, so not that much of a problem. But a pain, yes.
