I installed Gnome 2.6 today on my Fedora Core 1 box using garnome. I wasn't able to use the link above as it wanted to install Gnome 2.5.x. I ended up having to use this version http://www.themuso.com/garnome/garnome-2.6.0.tar.bz2 as per the mailing list.
