already have the io port and irq, thats not the problem, the problem is the old card, a tulip, the redhat-config-network lets me select the 3com 509 and set the irq and port, but then it says you have selected a tulip card, after I just have selected the 3com and set the io and irq. it seems that the parameters for the tulip card is still set somewere and redhat-config-network can't seem to forget about the old card and config the new card!!! I would like to know where this info is set so I can wipe it out. -----Original Message----- From: fedora-list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxx [mailto:fedora-list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Alexander Dalloz Sent: Saturday, April 10, 2004 4:45 PM To: For users of Fedora Core releases Subject: RE: Problem with redhat-config-network Am So, den 11.04.2004 schrieb Rick Lim um 01:35: > its a 3com isa card and kudzu didn't find it You have to know which resources the ISA card uses to be able to pass them - IRQ and IO - as parameter to the ethernet device module. Maybe run the DOS tool by 3Com to find out the values and maybe set them. In addition use motherboard BIOS to set an IRQ for ISA usage for the NIC.
