Hi,
maybe a dumb question.
You say your mobo has two onboard cards.
Isn't this eth0 and eth1 (not eth2)?
Have you tried configuring the cards as eth0 and eth1?
Maybe it's a bug or a feature that fc2t1 is failing to
initialize eth2 while only two cards are there?

But shouldn't I at least be able to do ifup eth2, to see if it is
working? I plan to use the 100Mb for my adsl connection, and the 1Gb
internally. However, I don't have the cables in place yet, I'm just
preparing the thing.
