building vmmon

Hello Hatters,
I am trying to install VMware-workstation-4.5.1-7568 on Fedora
Core 1. The install procedure wants to build the vmmon module,
for which it wants kernel source. I have downloaded
kernel-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl.src.rpm and installed it (with "rpm -i
kernel-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl.src.rpm") but that does not install
anything in /usr/src/linux, where the VMware install wants to find
it.

I'm new to Red Hat and rpm, so I'm very much at sea. If anyone can
help me get vmmon built, I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks in
advance.
