Thanks -- looks like this box has neither, I guess I can just look for something online to help me start from scratch.
Try "rpm -qa | grep -i "sql" and see what you get. That will show you the names of any packages installed with "sql" (in lower- or uppercase thanks to the '-i' parameter) on your system.
