The output goes into /var/log/rpmpkgs Check out /etc/cron.daily/rpm to see how it does what it does. No need to clone the daily into a weekly because log rotate does the right thing and saves one daily log a week, check /etc/logrotate.d/rpm Still, you may wish to save specific copies.... in a different place....with different names....with different formatting than the cronjob.
