Fedora Users — issue upgrading libdb

  as part of the process of upgrading subversion on my FC1 system, i 
updated against the yum repository:

http://summersoft.fay.ar.us/pub/subversion/1.0.1/fedora/bin/

which seems to have caused some problems related to the version of
libdb being used.

  what i also got from that repository were a couple new RPMs related
to libdb: db42 and db42-devel.  i didn't think much of it at the time,
but these RPMs seem to clash with the RPMs you find in rawhide.

  rawhide contains the RPMs

  db4-4.2.52-3.1
  db4-devel-4.2.52-3.1

while, from the subversion repo, i got and installed 

  db42-4.2.52-0.1
  db42-devel-4.2.52-0.1

currently, on my system, i now have the subversion repo RPMs, as well as 
the originals, for a grand total of installed db4-related RPMs:

  db4-4.1.25-14
  db4-devel-4.1.25-14
  db42-4.2.52-0.1
  db42-devel-4.2.52-0.1

now, when i try to do a "yum update" (without including rawhide in my
yum.conf file), i get

Package python needs libdb-4.1.so, this is not available.
Package cyrus-sasl needs libdb-4.1.so, this is not available.
Package sendmail needs libdb-4.1.so, this is not available.
Package webalizer needs libdb-4.1.so, this is not available.
Package xemacs needs libdb-4.1.so, this is not available.
Package ruby-libs needs libdb-4.1.so, this is not available.
Package kdesdk needs libdb-4.1.so, this is not available.
Package libtabe needs libdb-4.1.so, this is not available.
Package inn needs libdb-4.1.so, this is not available.
Package gnucash needs libdb-4.1.so, this is not available.
Package php needs libdb-4.1.so, this is not available.
Package perl needs libdb-4.1.so, this is not available.
Package mod_perl needs libdb-4.1.so, this is not available.
Package openoffice.org-libs needs libdb_cxx-4.1.so, this is not available.
Package openoffice.org needs libdb_cxx-4.1.so, this is not available.

  i'm really regretting having installed those libdb RPMs from the
subversion repo but that subversion repo updated a lot of other
packages as well, like apr-util, httpd, etc.

  before getting into this any deeper, has anyone else updated from
that summersoft repo?  comments?
