Looking at my last post I see I was a bit "glib" with you. I apologize. In my defense you had been very sparing with the information. I 'm currently installing Oracle10g on Fedora and have installed Oracle 9, 8 and 7 several dozens of times on linux. The best website I've found to help you is: http://www.puschitz.com/OracleOnLinux.shtml It explains how to get around the glibc issues and how to make your application work around NPTL (Native POSIX Thread Library.) I have no doubt Oracle will support the 2.6 kernel, eventually. It has alot to offer. The suggestion to separate your services is valid. Does your application really require access to the local loop to access the Oracle database? -Mike > -----Original Message----- > From: fedora-list-admin@xxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:fedora-list-admin@xxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Adam Williams > Sent: Monday, March 01, 2004 5:45 PM > To: fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx > Subject: Re: RH ES2.1, how to upgrade to kernel 2.6? > > Sorry, doesn't work that way.
