But I don't understand how you could have an LVM system without the lvm rpm (tools,etc?), but I see how most people would have mkinitrd and not need it's lvm dependency. If I understand this correctly, you DONT need mkinitrd to have an lvm system, but you currently need lvm if you install mkinitrd. Crazy? -Jim P.
