What you are describing is what most of us call "Redhat Bloat". It's the layering and layering of needless dependencies on users who don't desire them. How long before 'rpm -q --whatrequires filesystem' equals 'rpm -qa' ? After all, everything resides on the filesystem. ;) -Jim P.
