The problems are more than just tape. I've put a different 2930 in a
different Fedora machine, with an HP 9200 CD-RW attached to the 2930.
Another reason why I think this is a regression is that the Fedora install
CD #1 seems happy to boot all the way with this configuration. However, if I
try to access the /dev/cdrom or /dev/scd0, the device can't be found. If I
try to dd from /dev/sg0, the device can't be opened.
Any suggestions/fixes coming?
Look in dmesg and/or /var/log/messages to see what the device is called
when the system boots. Then use that to access it.
Also look in /etc/fstab as another pointer.
