No one responded to my prior posting, so I assumed that this was not a widespread problem and that it would be "automagically" fixed, since it definitely seems like a regression. The problems are more than just tape. I've put a different 2930 in a different Fedora machine, with an HP 9200 CD-RW attached to the 2930. Another reason why I think this is a regression is that the Fedora install CD #1 seems happy to boot all the way with this configuration. However, if I try to access the /dev/cdrom or /dev/scd0, the device can't be found. If I try to dd from /dev/sg0, the device can't be opened. Any suggestions/fixes coming? Charlie
