I am as much of a Free/OpenSource advocate as it is practical to be, but I recognise that there are people who need to interact with the outside world, and these products are necessary to them. Not to mention the fact that as we get people across from the Other Side (TM), they are going to be used to using various tools for which there is no/no adequate replacement, and these people are going to need the tutorials on Fedora News. We really don't need rabid fanatical so-called freedom advocates making life difficult for newbies or for people providing a resource (for free) which is useful to many people. If you have an issue with the articles, why don't you write tutorials about the free alternatives to the software you're objecting to, including instructions as to how to replace the functionality of the proprietary exactly.
