Picked up a Linksys usb 2.0 ethernet card, popped it in and works like a charm. Comes up as eth1 everything is grand. Edit modules.conf, alias eth0 8139too alias eth1 ax8817x reboot, and no network. Had to edit modules.conf alias eth1 8139too alias eth0 ax8817x and ifcfg-eth0 use device eth1 ifcfg-eth1 use device eth0 Unfortunately that does not work if you boot without the usb nic. Also the dreaded redhat-config-network crashes are back again as well. Oh well, you win some you lose some :-) Were off to see bugzilla, the wonderful .... Ted
