rpm -i or rpm -U for kernel-source?

Here's a dumb question.

I have a kernel-source rpm already installed and I want to manually install the latest kernel-source rpm. (up2date -u keeps hiccuping and I want to get the 2.4.22-1.2135.nptl sources installed.)

Do I use

rpm -ivh kernel-source...

or

rpm -Uvh kernel-source...?

Thanks
