That's where YUM, APT,or similiar would come in handy. I would think that as up2date evolves, you would get this versatility built-in, so you could install third party apps, and the necessary dependencies would be pulled in as well. Perhaps a bit of a dream, but if one can dream it, it can surely be done. Alas, I am not a programmer, but someone would come up with the proper tool or application that will do what you want!
