I have the same setup and the same problem with my PC but I accidentally discovered that when I push the power button to standby (sleep) mode and then back on again, boot up resumes normally. I don't have any explanation for that but you can try it out. Just make sure that you set your bios so that when you press the power button once it puts your PC into sleep (standby) mode.
Just out of interest, what kind of hardware are you running. I have an Asus A7VL133-VM board, Duron 1GHz Processor and 256MB ram.

Hello all,
I have installed Fedora Core 1 on my computer in a second physical hard disk (the first is equiped with Windows XP Home). The install procedure has worked correctly and I can choose an operating system with Grub without any problem. If I choose Win dows XP, it works, but if I choose Fedora, it begins to launch and then stop (during the procedure where it writes lots of lines of text with green "OK" -> excuse me, I am a beginner with Linux !)
I have had the same problem with Mandrake 9.2. Can somebody tell me what is wrong ? Thank you very much in advance for your help.
Regards,
Sylvain.
