Almost like a 'commit' button (or enter, but enter doesnt do the trick) Well, even though a "linux" terminal is similar to a vt100, I think it's pretty likely that the Fx keys don't behave as they do on a VTxxx terminal. I know a whole lot less about minicom. I *think* it actually provides some terminal emulations, maybe (or maybe not) you can coerce it to do what you want. or maybe by finding out what the "send" key actually does, you could find a way to do the same thing through another mechanism. > > > > >OTOH, if your switch can do kermit-protocol file transfers (and if it > >actually implements the kermit protocol correctly--keep in mind that many > >3rd-party kermit implementations are buggy, to be gracious about it) then > >you have to actually type in the appropriate commands to kermit: > > > > send filename > > > > nah, it is looking for user input, kermit was just the vehicle to talk to the switch, no kermit commands after that, only switch Gotcha. -- ---- Fred Smith -- fredex@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ----------------------------- The Lord detests the way of the wicked but he loves those who pursue righteousness. ----------------------------- Proverbs 15:9 (niv) -----------------------------
