 I kinda thought that too - but its still part of bind 9.5 (not sure
about bind 10) - the docs for it do say:


"Due to its arcane user interface and frequently inconsistent
behavior, we do not recommend the use of nslookup.
Use dig instead."

 Which is not quite saying obsoleted ... more like please avoid (use dig
and host)
