Wireless mouse not detected

Hi,

I have a Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse, and the battery died
in the mouse, so I replaced it. Now the mouse doesn't work at all. All
the instructions that I've found online are for use with Windows. Any
idea if I have to somehow reset the mouse, or how do go about
troubleshooting this?

[Microsoft Microsoft® 2.4GHz Transceiver v6.0] on

It detects the mouse and keyboard, but the mouse doesn't function. The
keyboard works just fine.

It's a Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000, model 1387. There is a small
momentary switch on the bottom of the mouse, but it doesn't appear to
do anything, and can't find any reference to it online either.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Alex
